As CEO of Trifo, Zhe Zhang has devoted his career to bringing enhanced performance and affordability to consumer robotics, AR, and software engineering. Trifo is a full stack AI home robot company. Focusing on indoor home environments, Trifo is developing an end-to-end integrated hardware/software system with sensing, perception, and decision capabilities. Prior to the creation of Trifo, Zhang was co-founder and CEO of PerceptIn, a full-stack visual intelligence company aimed at making scalable hardware/software integrated solutions for autonomous robotics systems. Before PerceptIn, Zhang lead sparse/dense mapping and pose tracking efforts at Magic Leap. He also drove Magic Leap’s technical evaluation program for outside partner companies. Prior Magic Leap, Zhang worked at Microsoft Research where he focused on mapping, localization, navigation, and selfrecharge solutions for a prototype consumer robot. He then moved to the Microsoft Bing division, where he built a large-scale developer platform for image data services.
